Methods 1 and 2 Blogs 2.0

Library 2.0 article in Information Today-- Librarians are seeking ways to involve the patrons in the library. Perhaps the patrons should submit book reviews. Museums have had great success getting visitors involved in voting and submitting art work. Library patrons are not creating their own writings.

Form is separated from content. The web is people sharing, learning and teaching.


Video talks about the significance with becoming comfortable with all types of technology to communicate with words, pictures, etc. People want instant feedback and how they prefer to communicate and see data, iPod, IM, flickr, etc. Librarian will change as they become more involved in the web 2.0 learning experience and must keep up with today's changing world.

12.0 Reflections

I loved learning about cloud computing and have used it some. Getting more familiar with flickr and facebook were fun also to bring me into the real world of today. I have not yet made a utube but have explored others. The one least useful for me would be delicious.

A weakness of myself and perhaps others was the limited attention I gave to reading many others' blogs after the first few steps.

I liked the format of steps and would like to see this type of learning program again.
